For domestic customers, no guarantee will be required provided they activate direct debit from a bank account and maintain this payment method. Otherwise, to guarantee fulfilment of the obligations arising from the supply contract, EEN may require a security deposit, charged on the bill without prior notice, in the following amounts. For gas supply: €30.00 (thirty/00 euros) for Customers with consumption up to 500 Smc/year; €90.00 (ninety/00 euros) for Customers with consumption above 500 Smc/year and up to 1.500 Smc/year; €150.00 (one hundred fifty/00 euros) for Customers with consumption above 1.500 Smc/year and up to 2.500 Smc/year; €300.00 (three hundred/00 euros) for Customers with consumption above 2.500 Smc/year and up to 5.000 Smc/year; for Customers with consumption above 5.000 Smc/year, the deposit will equal one month of the average annual consumption attributable to the Customer, net of taxes, and will also be charged when direct debit from a bank account is used. For End Customers who are granted compensation for the cost of natural gas supply pursuant to Resolution 402/2013/R/com of 26/09/2013, a reduced security deposit applies in the following amounts: €25.00 (twenty-five/00 euros) for Customers with consumption up to 500 Smc/year; €77.00 (seventy-seven/00 euros) for Customers with consumption above 500 Smc/year and up to 5.000 Smc/year; for Customers with consumption above 5.000 Smc/year, the deposit will equal one month of the average annual consumption attributable to the Customer, net of taxes. For electricity supply: €11.50 (eleven/50 euros) for each kW of contractually committed capacity. EEN will hold the security deposit for the entire term of the contract and, where provided for by ARERA provisions, return it with statutory interest in the closing bill that accounts for consumption up to the contract termination date. If the guarantee provided is called in full or in part, the Customer must immediately reinstate it. If the Customer fails to pay or reinstate the security deposit within the required deadlines, EEN may suspend supply pursuant to Art. 6.4 of the General Contract Conditions, without prejudice in any case to EEN's right to terminate the contract and claim damages.
