Offer terms

Octopus Fissa 12M Gas is the gas tariff with a fixed price for 12 months.

  • Electricity and/or natural gas consumption will be billed electronically in accordance with current legislation and the CPF. Without prejudice to any other rights under the Contract, Octopus Energy Italia will charge late-payment interest to a Customer who pays a bill late, without requiring formal notice of default. Interest will be calculated on unpaid bill amounts at the ECB rate in force from time to time, increased by 3.5 percentage points for residential customers and condominiums, and by an amount equal to the late-payment interest calculated at the rate under Legislative Decree 231/2002 in force on the bill’s due date. Octopus Energy Italia also reserves the right to charge the following fees for handling late payments: €5.00 (excluding VAT and taxes) for each reminder sent by ordinary mail or electronic channels (for example, email, SMS or PEC); €10.00 (excluding VAT and taxes) for each reminder sent by registered mail; and €5.00 (excluding VAT and taxes) for each bank payment returned unpaid following an SDD (SEPA) request.

  • For more details, consult the website of the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment (ARERA): https://www.arera.it/consumatori/valori-rete-oneri-domestici-gas

  • The offer is exclusively for household customers with a natural gas delivery point for household use and consumption up to 10,000 Smc/year.

  • The social bonus for natural gas supply was introduced to reduce gas costs for households experiencing financial hardship. To receive it on your bill, simply submit the Single Substitute Declaration (DSU) each year, for example through your municipality, a CAF, or the INPS website, in order to obtain the ISEE certificate required for the various subsidized social benefits. • This document follows a format set by ARERA, the authority that regulates Italy’s energy market, and is the same for all suppliers. ARERA has chosen a transparency-based approach: showing every price detail, with each item listed separately so that anyone who wishes can examine them. This, however, makes the document longer and more complex to read. At Octopus Energy, we believe in making things simpler: turning that complexity into something clear and straightforward that anyone can understand without having to examine every detail. That is why we design our offers to be simple and affordable, with just a few essential items, no extras or hidden costs, and prices designed to be fair over time, not just in the first year. Current regulations allow us to act directly only on the part called “energy component”; the rest is set by the Authorities. We believe, however, that people want a fair, easy-to-understand final energy price that includes everything. As we work towards this model, ARERA has already acted on one of our requests: making the separation between the cost of energy and the other mandatory items clearer. We continue to push for a simpler system, as explained in our Manifesto: https://octopusenergy.it/manifesto

  • This is a regulated component: the values are set by ARERA under the legislation in force and are the same for all energy companies. The amounts are paid to gas network operators, that is, the companies that manage the infrastructure (gas pipelines, local distribution networks and meters), transport and distribute natural gas to homes, and ensure it is measured correctly. Accordingly, charges apply for transport, distribution and metering services, including specifically: - Tariffs for distribution and metering services, updated according to the tariff area of the supply; - The QTt component, which covers the cost of transporting gas to the meter. Any municipal fees also apply if provided for in the municipality where the supply is active. All these values are defined and periodically updated by ARERA.

  • This is a regulated component: the values are set by ARERA under the legislation in force and are the same for all energy companies. This charge includes the charges defined and updated by ARERA for the tariff area in which the supply point is located.

  • Octopus Energy does not charge any cancellation fee, so this offer does not include one either.

  • The Contract is concluded when the Customer receives Octopus's written acceptance of the Supply Request submitted by the Customer. Supply will be activated within the timeframes set by the applicable regulations and is in all cases subject to the successful completion of the Local Distributor's activities.

  • The Customer may terminate unilaterally and without charge to change supplier, including for only one supply. If the Customer wishes to terminate to change supplier, the termination notice must be sent to Octopus through the new supplier, following the procedure established by the legislation in force. If activation of supply by the new Supplier is delayed, Octopus Energy Italia will continue to apply the same current economic and contractual conditions. If the Customer wishes to end the supply, they must send a termination notice directly to Octopus Energy Italia SRL by email (ciao@octopusenergy.it) or by post (Via dei Gorghi 9, 63100 Ascoli Piceno AP), with 1 (one) month's notice from the date the notice is received.

  • The economic conditions provide for a fixed price for 12 months from the Supply activation date. Upon expiration, Octopus will communicate to the Customer the economic conditions applicable for the subsequent period, within the terms and according to the methods provided by current legislation, through a communication called “Renewal proposal with modification of economic conditions”, containing the new conditions and the relative starting date. Alternatively, the Customer may choose another offer available at the time of renewal. In the absence of a different choice, the new communicated conditions will apply, without prejudice to the possibility of changing supplier at any time without costs or penalties.

  • The Customer can send any complaints through the following channels: -Via Web: from the website www.octopusenergy.it by filling out the appropriate form -By Post by writing to Octopus Energy Italia Srl, Via dei Gorghi 9, 63100 Ascoli Piceno. For complaints relating to the electricity supply distribution and metering service and the gas supply distribution service, Octopus Energy Italia Srl requests the technical data necessary from the Distributor to send the reply to the Customer. For said services, the Customer can send the complaint directly to the Distributor, which is required to reply to the Customer within no more than 30 calendar days. Suppliers must respect precise quality levels towards their customers also regarding the methods and response times for complaints, as established by Annex A to ARERA Resolution no. 413/2016/R/com (TIQV); otherwise, they may be required to pay them compensation amounts. In case of failure to resolve the complaint, out-of-court dispute resolution procedures indicated in the dedicated article in the General Supply Conditions can be activated; all information regarding this is also available on the octopusenergy.it website. If you are a vulnerable customer, as defined by current legislation, you can choose, as an alternative to the offer referred to in this Sheet, the economic and contractual supply conditions defined by the Regulatory Authority for Energy Networks and Environment. To obtain further general information on your rights, including those relating to the universal public service obligations of sellers, and regarding the Commercial Code of Conduct, which imposes precise rules of conduct for sellers, consult the Regulatory Authority for Energy Networks and Environment website www.arera.it/consumatori or call the toll-free number 800.166.654.

  • The Consumer Customer may exercise the right of withdrawal, without charge and without giving a reason, within 14 (fourteen) days from the date the Contract is concluded. The right of withdrawal may be exercised using the Withdrawal Form attached to the Contract or by written notice sent by registered mail with return receipt to Octopus Energy Italia, Via dei Gorghi 9 - 63100 Ascoli Piceno (AP). In the Supply Request, the Consumer Customer may ask for the Contract to be performed before the withdrawal period expires, expressly waiving that period. This request may result in supply starting during the withdrawal period and will bring supply forward compared with the normal timeframes in Article 6 below. In that case, the Consumer Customer may still exercise the right of withdrawal, but must pay Octopus the following amounts: a. €23.00 (twenty-three), or, if lower, the fixed amount under Article 9.6 of the Commercial Code of Conduct, if supply has not started; b. the Contract price for electricity and/or natural gas actually supplied by Octopus to the Consumer Customer up to the time supply ends. If the right of withdrawal is exercised and Octopus has not yet begun performing the Contract, supply will be provided by the previous supplier if the previous supply contract has not been terminated, or by the providers of the enhanced protection service under the TIV (electricity) or the last-resort supply service under the TIVG (natural gas). Alternatively, Octopus may provide supply for the time needed to allow a new supplier switch or, according to the Consumer Customer’s stated wishes, suspension or closure of the Supply Point. If the Consumer Customer exercises the right of withdrawal to end supply by deactivating the Supply Point, they must request deactivation from Octopus, which will arrange it, where applicable through the transmission and dispatching user (electricity) or the distribution service user (natural gas).

  • Billing will be based on readings taken by the locally responsible distributor. The Customer may submit a meter self-reading in accordance with the procedures and deadlines described on the bill. If the Distributor does not make those readings available in time for billing, billing will be based on the Customer’s self-reading validated by the Distributor or, if none is available, on estimates determined by the Supplier or the Distributor; responsibility for taking readings remains with the Distributor. For more information, see the CGF.

To guarantee the proper performance of the obligations arising from the Contract, Octopus may require the Customer to pay a security deposit when the Supply is activated, as set out below. a) For electricity: (i) for household customers, the security deposit is €16.00 (sixteen/00) for each kW of committed capacity; (ii) for non-household customers, the security deposit is €20.00 (twenty/00) for each kW of committed capacity. b) For gas: (i) for annual consumption below 500 Smc, the amount charged will be €30.00 (thirty/00); (ii) for consumption up to 1,500 Smc, €90.00 (ninety/00); (iii) for consumption up to 2,500 Smc, €150.00 (one hundred fifty/00); (iv) for consumption up to 5,000 Smc, €300.00 (three hundred/00); and (v) for consumption above 5,000 Smc, one month of the customer’s average annual consumption, excluding taxes. For further information, see Article 11 of the CGF.
