Offer terms

Gelsia Fix Plus Luce is an open-market offer for end customers with low-voltage (BT) domestic connections. Supply can only be activated for connections that are not already supplied by Gelsia on the open market. Choosing this type of offer instead of a variable-price offer may also depend on your risk tolerance. With a fixed price, you pay a charge set in advance that is not subject to changes in wholesale electricity market prices. However, in return for reducing the risk of price volatility, the charge applied may be lower or higher than variable charges indexed to wholesale market prices. By taking up Gelsia Fix Plus Luce, the Customer will receive a supply bonus of up to €15, divided into 4 instalments, credited as follows: the first instalment of €15 when supply is activated, on the first available bill; the second instalment of €15 on the bill for the 8th month of supply; the third instalment of €15 on the bill for the 16th month of supply; and the fourth instalment of €15 on the bill for the 23rd month of supply. If supply ends before the months for which the bonus is due have elapsed, the remaining bonus will not be granted.

  • In the case of a supplier change (switching), supply will begin within 6 months of the Contract being concluded. For other types of service (for example, a transfer of account holder), the start date will follow the timeframes set by the regulations. In the case of a transfer of account holder, supply will begin on the transfer date under the regulations in force (Resolutions 102/2016/R/com and 398/2014/R/eel, as amended), which may differ from the date of any meter self-reading or transfer request. As required by current legislation, the Supplier will inform the Customer of the specific supply start date in a separate notice. In the case of a transfer of account holder or a new connection in the Customer’s name, GELSIA may not require the CUSTOMER to pay any outstanding arrears owed by the previous account holder, even if the supply point is closed or suspended. This is without prejudice to cases of joint and several liability or succession to obligations provided for by law (e.g. transfer of a business or inheritance). GELSIA may ask the person requesting the transfer (owner or tenant) to provide a specific “Declaration of no liability for the previous account holder’s debt”. If this declaration is provided, GELSIA may not claim from the transfer applicant any arrears owed by the previous account holder for the supply. GELSIA may refuse the transfer when: i) the CUSTOMER fails to demonstrate, including by self-certification, that they have title establishing ownership, lawful possession or lawful occupancy of the property for which supply is requested; ii) there are previous unpaid amounts owed to GELSIA on other PODs and/or PDRs registered to the CUSTOMER requesting the transfer.

  • During the term of the Contract, the CUSTOMER may, at any time and in accordance with Annex A2 to Resolution 783/2017/R/com, unilaterally terminate the Contract without charge in order to switch supplier. When signing the new contract, the Customer must grant the incoming supplier specific authority to terminate, on the Customer’s behalf and in the Customer’s name, the existing contract with GELSIA. If the CUSTOMER does not wish to switch Supplier but wishes to end the supply and the related contracts, the Customer may terminate at any time by registered letter with return receipt or certified email (PEC), giving 1 month’s notice. The notice period begins when the termination notice is received. The CUSTOMER remains liable for consumption and any other amounts due if the Customer does not allow final consumption to be read and the meter to be closed. Any consumption between the supply end date notified by the CUSTOMER and the local Distributor’s possible closure of the POD/PDR will remain payable by the CUSTOMER. If the termination notice does not specify that it is intended to end the supply, the supply will continue under the applicable last-resort service.

  • As the expiry date of the economic conditions set out in the Technical and Economic Supply Conditions approaches, and with at least 3 (three) months' notice, GELSIA will notify the end CUSTOMER in writing, on a durable medium previously accepted by the CUSTOMER, of the new economic conditions applicable upon renewal. If the CUSTOMER does not wish to accept them, they may terminate the Contract without charge, in accordance with the methods and time limits set out in paragraph 5.4 below of this article. If the CUSTOMER does not terminate, the Contract will renew under the notified new economic conditions, which will be deemed accepted by the CUSTOMER for all purposes. If GELSIA does not send the above notice, the economic conditions in force when their validity period expires will continue to apply upon renewal. If the Supplier fails to comply with the requirements of the regulations in force (Commercial Code of Conduct, Annex A to ARERA Resolution 366/2018, as amended and supplemented) concerning the notice period, the method of sending and the required content of a notice renewing and changing the economic conditions, the conditions proposed in that notice will not apply and the conditions then in force will continue to apply, unless the new unit charges are lower than those in force. If the notice period is not respected, the CUSTOMER will also receive automatic compensation of 30 euros.

To secure the obligations undertaken, the CUSTOMER must pay an interest-bearing security deposit proportional to the contractually committed electricity capacity, at a rate of €5.16 for each kW of committed capacity. If the security deposit is not withheld, in whole or in part, to settle any unpaid invoices, it will be refunded to the CUSTOMER, with statutory interest, when the supply contract ceases to have effect. Direct debit from a bank or postal account is considered an equivalent form of security to the security deposit for domestic electricity customers and domestic gas customers with consumption of up to 5,000 Smc/year. If the direct debit is revoked, the CUSTOMER must provide suitable security as described above.
