Offer terms
An offer for residential customers with a variable energy component price linked to the PUN Index GME and a fixed spread valid for 12 months of supply. Smart Green Luce is Union Gas e Luce’s offer on the free market that provides electricity sourced entirely from renewable sources. The offer is exclusively for end customers who hold sites with a low-voltage electricity supply for residential use and switch supplier by signing a contract with Union Gas e Luce. With Smart Green Luce, customers receive their bill digitally at their e-mail address, reducing paper use and avoiding CO2 emissions from bill delivery. The energy volumes allocated to this offer come entirely from renewable sources, through certificates attesting to the renewable origin of the sources used for the volumes billed to the Customer (the “Guarantees of Origin”), as provided for by ARERA Resolution ARG/elt 104/11, as amended and supplemented.
After Union S.p.A. sends its written acceptance of the contract proposal submitted by the customer, Union S.p.A. will send written notice of the supply start date. The contract covers the supply by Union S.p.A. of natural gas and/or electricity to the customer’s delivery point(s) (PdR) and/or electricity withdrawal point(s) (PdP), as requested by the customer, and Union S.p.A.’s entering into electricity dispatching and transportation contracts with the counterparties designated by the applicable regulations. Performance of the contract is subject to successful completion of the activation or supplier-switching procedure with the local distributors. As seller, Union S.p.A. reserves the right to supply gas and/or electricity under the applicable sector regulations, provided that: a) Pipelines already exist in the street where the property for which the application is made is located, or the conditions exist for their construction under the agreement in force between the local Distributor and the Municipality and under Legislative Decree 164/2000. In the latter case, the supply may be requested only once the local Distributor has constructed the pipelines. b) A connection between the building and the local Distributor’s network already exists, or the local Distributor has undertaken to construct one. In the latter case, supply will begin only after the Distributor has constructed the connection and notified Union S.p.A. accordingly. c) The customer has paid the connection charges directly to the seller, which is authorized to collect them in the name and on behalf of the Distributor. The customer remains responsible, at their own care and expense, for all preparatory and complementary works needed to construct the connection. If the Customer fails to pay the connection charge, supply cannot start and the contract will be expressly and automatically terminated. d) The applicant has obtained express authorization to lay the pipelines needed for the connection from the property owner, the competent public authorities, and/or any other private third parties who may hold rights of way or other rights in rem over the property. The applicant agrees to provide that authorization to the Distributor and/or Union S.p.A. if requested. e) The applicant or the Distributor has provided all documents proving the property’s habitability and/or fitness for occupancy, as well as any other documents required by applicable law. If any of the conditions above are not met, the contract will be expressly terminated.
If the customer chooses a payment method other than bank or postal direct debit, UGM will charge a security deposit on the customer’s first bill. The amount will be determined under Article 12(1)(a) of the Integrated Provisions of the Energy Regulatory Authority for Electricity Last Resort Sales Services, Annex A to Resolution 491/2020/R/eel of 24 November 2020, as subsequently amended and supplemented. The security deposit for the supply being closed will be refunded with the final bill, without the customer having to request it, and with statutory interest added, unless all or part of it is retained to settle any unpaid bills and the related late-payment interest.
